Born and raised in Hackleburg, Alabama, Freda realized early on as a teenager that she had an eye and a passion for photography. After several years of taking photographs just for the enjoyment of her family and friends, she decided in 2000 to pursue an interest in black-and-whitephotography.

As a result of studying various aspects of black-and-white photography, Freda became convinced she could share her photographic creations with others so she started a business specializing in handtinting black-and-white photographs. With the gracious help and encouragement from family, friends, and co-workers, Freda launched her business that quickly grew into a very successful part-time endeavor.

Although she is dedicated to a full time job as a high school teacher and coach, Freda continues to produce unique works of art through her camera, darkroom, and handtinting techniques. Clients wanting something out of the ordinary - that they can't get from just any photographer - trust Freda to create beautiful custom photographs that capture expressions that will last a lifetime!
